Posted 7/12/10 - CONGRATULATIONS to Bailey Edenburn (Pennfield, IL) and to Clay Sundberg (Arlington, IL) on each of them exhibiting their FIRST class winner at the Junior National.  They both did an awesome job with their animals and we are really proud to see their hard work pay off.  Both Clay's steer and Bailey's heifer are out of one of our cornerstone donors - ROF Vogue 211R.  This fall, we will have another excellent crop of calves for sale out of Vogue.  Call us to set up a time to visit!

Posted 7/12/10 - Our daughter, Lauren, had the most incredible trip to the JNHE held in Indianapolis, IN.  She was lucky enough to exhibit the Grand Champion Horned Heifer - it was beyond our wildest dreams!  We'd like to send our heartfelt thanks to all the people that made this experience one we'll remember for a lifetime.  We have been truely blessed with the most wonderful friends that anyone could ask for.  Your friendship and support mean the world to us, and, that's what we'll remember the most.  Also, thank you to Travis Pierce and his crew for their help all week - we couldn't have done it without you; and, thanks to Nate and Courtney Wirtjes for believing in us.  

Posted 6/21/10 - CONGRATULATIONS to Clay Sundberg (Arlington, IL) on exhibiting the Reserve Grand Champion Hereford Steer at the 2010 Illinois Junior Hereford Preview Show in Moline, Illinois.  This was Clay's first trip to an Illinois Preview Show.  He did an excellent job, and, we think he and his family are catching the "Hereford Fever!"

Posted 6/21/10 - CONGRATULATIONS to Jake Bloomberg (Berwick, IL) for showing JB ROF Betty 109 ET to the dual titles of Reserve Champion Bred and Owned Heifer and Reserve Champion Polled Owned Heifer.  Jake has done an oputstanding job with Betty.  

Posted 6/21/10 - Thank you to Nate and Courtney Wirtjes of River Ridge Ranch for selling us RRR L18 Penelope 0509 ET.  Lauren was fortunate enough to show Penny to the title of Grand Champion Horned Heifer at the 2010 Illinois Preview Show.  It was the first time anyone with our last name had ever won this show.  Needless to say, we were a little excited!

Posted 6/13/10 - CONGRATULATIONS to Clay Sundberg (Arlington, IL) on exhibiting the Grand Champion Hereford Steer at the 2010 Wisconsin Hereford Jackpot Show in Jefferson, Wisconsin.  Also, CONGRATULATIONS to Bailey Edenburn (Pennfield, IL) for winning her Division at the 2010 Wisconsin Hereford Jackpot Show with ROF Whisper 225V ET.  Both Clay and Bailey purchased their animals from us last fall.  We greatly appreciate their business and wish them the best of luck as they continue on the show circuit this summer.

Posted 12/20/09 - CONGRATULATIONS to Clay Sundberg (Arlington, IL) on winning the Hereford Steer Show at the 2009 Badger Kickoff.  His steer, "Tycoon," is out of Stocker 10H and our Vogue donor cow.  We are very excited for the Sundberg family and wish them the best over the coming show season!

Posted 11/22/09 - THANK YOU to Ivan Harvell (Steward, IL) and Jillyn Ruter (Shannon, IL) for purchasing our steer consignments at the Indian Creek FFA Alumni Sale in Amboy, IL.  Harvell's purchased our Stocker 10H x Vogue and he was the 2nd high selling steer in the sale.  We wish both of these families the best of luck as they prepare for next year's show season!

 Posted 11/17/09 - THANK YOU to Perry Farms of Shelbyville, Illinois for purchasing a 3 egg package on ROF Vogue 211R and NJW 1Y Wrangler 19D.  We are very pleased that Corey and Emily have selected these genetics to add to their program! 

 Posted 11/14/09 - THANK YOU to Lind Polled Herefords of Rushford, Minnesota for purchasing the 4 egg package on Vogue and Nitro.  We are excited to be working with the Lind Family and look forward to the resulting offspring of this exciting mating!

 Posted 11/11/09 - SPECIAL OPPORTUNITY - we are privately selling 4 grade 1 embryos resulting from an excitiing mating - Nitro x ROF Vogue 211R. Mud Creek Farms purchased the right to flush Vogue and chose to use Nitro - the most talked about bull in Denver last year.  You can only access Nitro genetics through a large semen package purchase; however, we've worked with the Garnhart Family to offer these rare eggs for sale.  They will be sold on a first, come first serve basis for $650 per embryo.  Please contact Kyle at 815-751-0069 if you are interested.

 Posted 11/03/09 - we are proud to announce the newest edition to Rustic Oaks Farm - RRR L18 Addiction 911 ET.  We purchased this GO Excel L18 son with Pierce's Hereford Haven from Baraboo, WI earlier this fall.  He came from Nate Wirtjes at River Ridge Ranch in Durand, IL and his dam is the mother of our 'Nickie' Online donor cow.  Addiction brings an out cross genetic package,  balanced EPDs, and polled phenotype to the table.  Stay tuned for more information on semen sales or breeding interests.

 Posted 10/23/09 - THANK YOU to the Harfst Family of Easton, Illinois; Coldwater, Michigan; & Ashland, Oregon for recently purchasing half interest and possesion in ROF FHF Lincoln 310V ET.  He is a polled March '09 bull calf sired by Monument and out of a full sister to the mother of the Star Lake / SHF Radar bull.  We are very excited to partner with the Harfst family and believe this calf has a very bright future - see him in Easton soon!

 Posted 10/19/09 - look for our two prospect steer consignments to the Indian Creek FFA Alumni Club Calf Sale sale held at the Lee County Fairgrounds just outside Amboy, IL on Sunday, November 22nd.  More details to follow or call us with questions.  

 Posted 7/17/09 - We invite you to stop by the farm to view our 2009 calf crop sired by DM BR L1 Domino 146, NPH 512 The Stocker 10H, MH Monument 3147, and Remitall Online 122L.  The calves will be home from our embryo cooperator herds in mid August.  Give us a call to set up a time to drop by to see our fancy show heifer prospects, solid young bull calves, and show steers - you won't be disappointed.
